About the Book
Puffy is a fun story about the relationship between a girl and her hair. They go through the ups and downs of an everyday friendship and in the end remember how important it is to love each other. Puffy’s inspiration comes from the curiosity of wondering what our hair would say if it could talk. Our hope is for young girls to reflect on loving their hair and to get them excited about taking care of it. Puffy is an open invitation for every young reader to connect with and expand their imaginations.
About the Authors
Kelechi Onyejiaka and Nastasha Pollard met at the University of Miami and have been friends for over 10 years. They are passionate about their story celebrating diversity and providing young girls with a character that is a reflection of themselves. Nastasha is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in NYC providing Anesthesia at hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, and private offices. Kelechi is a Dentist in Missouri at a Family Dental Clinic.
